Reporting to the Managing Director of APSYS Risk Engineering Limited, you will be responsible of the following tasks within the Safety Department:

 

Project Management:

  • Ensure initiation, scoping and understanding of the task between the APSYS team and the customer team
  • Monitor internal and external resources according to business needs
  • Organise and lead project meetings with the customer and ensure progress reporting by using KPIs
  • Ensure financial monitoring of the projects, margins and billings
     

Team Leader:

  • Mentor and support the team
  • Ensure skills development and provide relevant resources for the performance needs of the team
  • Define, follow and assess individual objectives for each team members
  • Support the recruitment of new resources by performing technical interviews
  • Support the on-boarding of newcomers
  • Act as a link between the employee and HR/Top Management
  • Ensure and manage the company facilities (maintenance, security, IT, etc…)
  • Additional missions may be added according to the evolution of the company
     

Safety engineer:

  • Upgrade programs, on-going retrofit programs and R&D projects. Safety analysis for Fuel and/or Landing Gear Systems.
  • FHA, PSSA, SSA, FTA Quantitative and Qualitative Assessments
  • Common Cause Analysis including Particular Risks and Common Mode Analyses
  • Support proposed architectures with system designers
  • Support in-service events
     

The position is based in Filton.

Profil

Are you THE one?

 

  • You are an Aeronautical engineer with a specialisation in the safety domain
  • An experience within the frame of Fuel Systems and/or Landing Gear Systems design would be a plus. 
  • You have at least 5 years of working experience in this domain, with a first experience as a project manager and/or team leader
     
  • You have knowledge of ARP4754, ARP4761 and ARP5150 recommended practices
  • Knowledge of office, project management tools and aeronautical processes are necessary
  • You should also be familiar with the aeronautical regulations (particularly CS25) and DO254 and / or DO178 standards, as well as general EASA & FAA regulations.
     
  • People around you define you as organised and dynamic person.
  • You have a good sense of mediation, and you are a model
    of coordination and rigor,
  • Autonomy, good interpersonal skills and leadership are all assets that characterize you.
  • English: negotiation level needed! French will be a plus.
