From emergency to trust: how Airbus Protect’s responsiveness helped build a relationship of confidence with TeleDiag to accelerate their cyber resilience.

This success reflects the rapid transformation of TeleDiag’s defence posture. Initiated in January 2024 to respond to a specific need for security in the face of an active threat, the collaboration with Airbus Protect has evolved into a lasting partnership. This project demonstrates that expert management can turn a security event into an opportunity, making immediate response the catalyst for lasting resilience.

The customer: TeleDiag

As France’s leading teleradiology network, TeleDiag provides round-the-clock radiology services for numerous public and private healthcare establishments. The company enables remote diagnostics 24/7 through a network of connected radiologists. Given the nature of its business, TeleDiag handles sensitive health data and must guarantee uninterrupted availability of its services.

The client’s need

In January 2024, the detection of suspicious activity within its information system prompted TeleDiag to seek immediate external expertise. The challenge was threefold:

  • Neutralise activity: Quickly characterise and neutralise the detected activity to ensure the integrity of operations.
  • Maintain activity: Secure operations without impacting the medical diagnosis service.
  • Ensure long-term security: Monitor a heterogeneous environment (servers and workstations) to prevent further compromise.

Airbus Protect solution

Airbus Protect supported TeleDiag through a structured three-phase approach:

Intervention and stabilisation (January 2024):

Immediate deployment of incident response teams. This was followed by the activation of an operational ‘SOC for the circumstances’ for three months to ensure post-incident vigilance.

Implementation of the MDR SOC:

Capitalising on this intervention, the service switched to permanent 24/7 monitoring.

Industrialisation and orchestration:

The current service relies on a SOAR (Security Orchestration, Automation, and Response) solution to automate investigations and apply specific detection rules (targeting cybercrime in particular) developed by Airbus Protect.

The responsiveness demonstrated during the initial phase made it possible to secure TeleDiag’s business and establish a lasting relationship of trust, which was confirmed by the renewal of the service. The operational benefits today are:

  • 24/7 detection: Continuous monitoring of the company’s critical assets.
  • Controlled response: Ability to immediately contain critical incidents through pre-approved technical actions (machine isolation, flow blocking).
  • Continuous improvement: Regular support to adapt the defence posture to new threats and evolve the security architecture.
